Weekend Wrap-up: much better + celebrating Mabel + my next project

The weekends are flying by right now…probably because we have so many different things we want to knock out before baby brother makes his appearance. On Friday, I worked next to the cutest little napper. I usually end up napping with him, but some days, I do manage to be a little bit productive while he sleeps.

Friday afternoon, I got in for a much-needed hair appointment. I wanted to put some highlights in my hair for summer and get a good chunk cut off because it’s been a little bit out of control.

It feels SO much better and more manageable!

Another exciting update: all of our caterpillars are officially in their cocoons! We moved them over to the butterfly cage and now we get to wait and see them become butterflies. I can’t wait! Coop asks to see them every morning when he wakes up and it’s so cute.

A little more painting on Saturday morning. We are so ready to get our bathroom finished. SO. READY.

If you see us out and about right now, you can guarantee that we have a potty in the back of whatever vehicle we are driving.

Saturday afternoon, we got to celebrate sweet Mabel turning two. We also had a mini high school reunion, which I always love!

Coop was pretty obsessed with the bounce house. I think he went down the slide 20-30 times.

My rainy Sunday morning project was switching out the hardware on the new bedside tables we found on Facebook Marketplace. We were going to repaint these to match our dressers, but we both love the black paint, so we’re going to leave them for awhile. I need to take off that middle piece, but it doesn’t look bad, so I’ll wait and do all of that until I have more free time…so check back in 2030. HA! Kidding. I hope.

I know I’m obsessed with him, but man, he’s so dang sweet and cuddly. My parents came over to watch Coop while I finished painting because Jake was working, then I got him down for a nap and attempted to clean up the house a little bit.

After cleaning, I started on my next project, which is this dresser, which we also found on Marketplace. I need to sand and repaint it. It has a super thick paint on it right now, so sanding isn’t going to be real fun…stay tuned!

Sometimes ya just need to eat peanut butter out of the jar.

Don’t worry, chips and melted cheese are still happening.

This belly has really popped the past few days! Baby brother weighs a little over three pounds now. Just a little over seven weeks until he’s in our arms. I cannot wait! <3

Happy Monday, friends!
