Weekend Wrap-up: one of our fave books + baby brother is growing + Coop’s dresser

This weekend flew by! I finished Coop’s dresser on Friday, so once it dried, I worked on putting contact paper in the drawers and putting new pulls on. I was excited to see it in his room!

On Saturday, this wild man and I ran a bunch of errands. Coop grabbed his snow boots and was ready to go. Please note the boot that is on backward…

Before we got in the car, he had to say good morning to his butterflies. All five are flying around in their cage. Once we have a day that isn’t super rainy, we will release them outside.

I can’t remember who gave us this book, but it’s one of my favorites. If you see this while you’re out, definitely get it. It’s so cute! It’s called, “Where’s My Teddy?”

I feel like this kid is growing every single day. We are so ready to meet him.

We soaked up the sunshine Saturday afternoon while we waited for Jake to get home from work. Coop swam and played in the water and I got some sun for the bump.

What you can’t see is how many toys he had put in here. HA! He was sitting on top of all of them. HE kept getting out of here to go pee in the yard. It was hilarious.

We had a slow start to our Sunday, which was nice. Coop got books for all of his babies. I love the little cardboard books sitting on their laps. He’s going to be the best big brother.

I got Coop’s dresser put in his room! I love how it turned out. We have some more organizing to do and need to find a rocking chair, but other than that, his big boy room is ready! Well, and my dad is building him a super cool bookshelf, but other than those two things, it’s good to go! We are going to move him in here in the next week or two. He LOVES it and plays in here all the time.

I was so tired on Sunday, so I napped with Cooper. He napped for three hours and I napped for two and a half. I woke up to him body slamming me. Baby brother is going to be tough….

Sweats are life. Always, but especially when pregnant. I’ve been thankful for the cooler days we’ve been having.

If I can submit final grades today, my semester will be officially be over! EEK! I have a manuscript I am working on to submit to a journal, so I’m hoping to finish that this week, too. I’ll be in Little Rock all day Friday for a retreat with the School of Education, but the second that is over, I am officially off for the summer/maternity leave. I cannot wait! We’re getting close, friends!

Happy Monday, friends!
