In honor of Earth Day yesterday, I thought back on some of the most beautiful runs I’ve gotten to take. One of my favorites was on a trail in Frisco, CO. The pines were gorgeous. This picture was taken there.
Nothing sounded good for lunch yesterday, so I found some soup in our pantry and had that with some white cheddar bunnies. I’ve started birth control again while we wait for results from my last procedure and it always makes me feel SO sick. I haven’t had much of an appetite or any energy since starting it back up. Hopefully things will level out soon.
Little Lu needed some cuddles, so we lounged on the couch for a little bit after lunch.
I LOVE Panera. Their sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items are my favorite. I was craving pizza and saw they had a new flatbread, so I figured I’d try it out. It wasn’t my favorite. It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I didn’t really care for the sauce or the crust. I ended up just eating the pepperoni and cheese off the top, HA! I did get half a Thai salad and it was amazing, as always.
After dinner, I headed to Great Escape Beer Works to meet some other Trail Sisters Springfield gals to pick-up trash along the trail.
We walked along the trail and picked up trash. We had so much fun hanging out and helping to keep a small portion of our trails cleaned up.
We had celebratory beers when we finished. Great Escape has a new peach milkshake IPA and it is AMAZING. So, so good. If you’re local, go try it!
I get to wear my graduation regalia this weekend! I haven’t put any of this on since December 2018, so I’m excited to wear it again. That’s one cool thing about academia…you get to relive your own graduation each year. I am volunteering with our undergraduate graduation on Saturday, so I will definitely be reliving one of my favorite days – my doctoral graduation (you can read about that HERE).
